A research project funded by National Science Centre (Poland) aimed at developing a reliable RGB-D SLAM system for robotic applications. The result was PUT SLAM – open-source optimization-based SLAM with the g2o backend and configurable front-end (ORB or SURF feature points, matching or KLT-based tracking of features).
