Mobile Robots Laboratory is a group of reserachers interested in autonomy of mobile robots. We focus on such problems as mobile robot localization, simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM), environment mapping for sensory-based motion planning and efficient planning algorithms. Our approach is mostly AI-based: we exploit search and optimization methods, as well as pattern recognition and machine learning techniques. Our platforms range from simple indoor turtlebots, through legged robots, to self-driving vehicles. We also apply the robot navigation algorithms to non-robotic platforms, such as wearable sensors and mobile devices for indoor positioning.
